Kobe Bryant entered the NBA directly after high school and played his entire 20-season professional career in the league with the Los Angeles Lakers. Bryant won five NBA Championships, was an 18-time All Star, and was named the 2008 NBA MVP. He ranks ranks fourth on the league's all-time regular season scoring list. Many will remember Bryant as one of the greatest players of all time. He assigned himself the nickname of "Black Mamba", citing a desire for his basketball skills to mimic the snake's ability to "strike with 99% accuracy at maximum speed, in rapid succession."

With the sudden death of Kobe Bryant only a few weeks ago, his legacy and the impact he left on others is rising to the surface.
