Fear and Excitement are two sides of the same coin.
Anytime we start anything new, two emotions quickly rise to the surface: Fear and Excitement.
The thought of fulfilling our dreams and taking concrete steps towards them gets us excited but as soon as we get excited, we start to worry and fear whether this is something we can actually do.
On the Launch Day of The Counterweights, I also experienced this conundrum. Launching The Counterweights was something had I been excited for weeks to do but once launched, I couldn't shake the slight underlying fear that maybe everything wouldn't work out. But that's when I realized that fear and excitement are two sides of the same coin but that we can use both to our advantage.
Fear lets us know we're about to do something we've never done before and so it alerts us to be cautious and vigilant. However, fear can be used to our benefit because in order to achieve particular dreams, it means we may have to take steps or actions we've never done before. Fear doesn't often come from doing something you are comfortable with or accustomed to but it comes from taking a new path. Fear means you are about to take steps towards your dreams and the role of excitement is to encourage you that you are ready to do so.
So don't run away from fear or dampen excitement. Use both to your benefit and walk the path towards achieving your dreams.
