Refuse to Compromise

Earlier, I was rereading parts of Think Big and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill when I got to this quote.

" I believe that close association with one who refuses to compromise with circumstances he does not like, is an asset that can never be measured in terms of money." - Napoleon Hill

It got me thinking that many of us think that compromise is the answer when we are in a situation in life we don't like. We tend to roll over and hope it changes soon. But there is value to the one who looks at situations in life and refuses to compromise with them. What if instead of "coping" with our situations, we took matters into our own hands and either TRANSFORM the situation into one that is more favorable or CREATE one that is.

Too often we let the things of life push us around, making us believe we "have to" do this or that.

But, this doesn't have to be the case. You ARE free to:

Work with the people you want to work with, do the things that you are passionate about, bring about the results you want to see.

Stop seeing the situations in life as things that can't change. Even in the most dismal, uninspiring places are the opportunities to favorably transform situations (if you get creative) and if you truly can't, don't settle. Find, or even better, CREATE a place where you can.
